COVID-19 - Action plan in line with RANZCOG recommendations

We acknowledge the seriousness of COVID-19  crisis and its implications to the health service in the upcoming weeks. These changes are necessary to  minimise the risk of infection to all our patients and staff and the community.

* IVF treatment will be ceasing effective immediately until further notice.  This includes follicle tracking management by  SOH.

(Last treatment 18/04/2020 to complete anyone already commenced on medication)

* All surgery except CAT- 1 procedures  to be suspended until further notice.

** We will continue to support your needs via Tele health. This includes gynaecology consultation, to plan and advise on medical treatment until such time that surgical treatment can be offered. We will continue to review and plan fertility/IVF treatment for when treatment can be commenced.

  • All appointments will be converted to Tele health. (Zoom consultations) exception being urgent colposcopy.

  • Please endeavour to complete all your forms online and do not attend practice to drop off form etc unless you have too.

  • ONLY essential support people are permitted to attend appointments.

  • NO patients or staff are permitted into SOH if at risk for COVID-1

  • ALL patients and staff are screened for COVID-19 at SOH entry

  • ALL surface are wiped down regularly during the day

  • Keeping consulting room doors and windows OPEN (when appropriate)

  • Any face to face appointments will be kept to 15 minutes or less (the COVID 19 data shows this reduces transmission risk)

  • Please  minimise sharing pens. (Best bring your own if you are attending an appointement  on site) )

  • Onsite ultrasounds will now be kept to absolute essential only

If we find ourselves in the unfortunate scenario of a positive COVID-19 case at SOH. SOH  will be closed for a minimum of 14 days. We do have offsite access to our clinical software and will be able to access results and address urgent queries via email / phone. This is an unprecedented time in healthcare and in our community, where we must put safety first. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
